The Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS) invites you to the Anatomical Dissection and Cosmetic Procedures Workshop at the Medical Engineering Research Facility (MERF), Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, 18 November 2021. The workshop is held before the 2021 Non-Surgical Symposium starting on Friday 19 November on the Gold Coast.

This Workshop is open to Doctors, Nurses, and Dentists. Be sure to register early, as places are limited to 60, and they sell out every year.

Let’s bring aesthetic learning to a more intimate, engaging experience through a 1-day practical session. Through the combination of fresh cadaver dissections, hands-on as well as live demonstrations with various new formats – rotating lectures and videos – the Workshop covers traditional and advanced injection skills for both, neuromodulator and soft tissue fillers.

There will be two groups with sessions running concurrently, to maximize your learning experience.

The first group will begin at the Anatomy Laboratory where you’ll have the opportunity to view the injecting of cadaver models and get a sense of appropriate volumes, contouring, and harmony of the face.
Advice will be given on “how-to” inject in certain anatomical regions with a focus on high and low-risk regions of the face.

The second group will begin with presentations and videos of injectable procedures that will highlight the main points and provide an unobscured vision of injecting techniques. Complimenting these videos will be commentary from the international and local speakers presenting at the Workshop.

Every year we are inundated with submissions and this year being the 10th Anniversary of the NSS, we anticipate an increased number of submissions. While we try and accommodate the best abstracts to enhance the value of the meeting, we are unable to accept all of the abstracts that are submitted.

Submissions must conform to all guidelines as outlined below. Abstracts that do not comply with the rules of submission or layout guidelines will be declined. Abstracts without results (or with “results pending”, “results to be discussed”, or similar) will not be considered for presentation.
Submission of an abstract acknowledges your acceptance for the abstract to be published in print and digital formats for distribution.

He has a special interest in combination treatments for complicated scars (acne, traumatic, surgical and burns), pigmentation, laser rejuvenation, and surgical & non-surgical skin cancer management.

Dr. Manoharan studied medicine at the University of Queensland, worked in the United Kingdom and Australia, gained extensive laser and surgical experience in Australia and the United States, and has sub-specialised in cosmetic and laser dermatology.
